New Architecture Writers is a free programme for emerging design writers, developing the journalistic skill, editorial connections and critical voice of its participants. NAW focuses on black and minority ethnic emerging writers who are under-represented across design journalism and curation. A series of evening workshops, talks and writing briefs spread out over twelve months form the core of NAW’s programme with one-to-one mentoring from experienced design critics and editors throughout. Every participant will work towards a piece of original writing being published by international architecture magazine, the Architectural Review.
New Architectural Writers is a project led by Phineas Harper and Tom Wilkinson and founded with the support of the Architectural Review and the Architecture Foundation.
NAW is supported by the Royal College of Art and the RIBA Journal.
